An insomniac's prayer

Ever restful Hypnos send me into a peaceful slumber. Let my eyes become heavy, my body too. Send me off to dreamland so I may see you. Let me awaken fresh, rested and all anew. Fill my head with sweet dreams of lavender and honey. Send me into sweet slumber, that's all I ask of you.

I consider my play of my dnd character Saix to be a devotional act to Hypnos, as he was a cleric to Remnus(God of Sleep), and ended up taking the role of sleep god for Himself. Do not be too strict, for the symbols of the Gods are fluid in their interpretation.

I never realized how much good religion could do for me until I started worshipping Hypnos.

I've been worshipping him for just over a week now, and it's brought me so much joy.

I've been getting better sleep, I've been more optimistic, and I've been able to overcome a lot of fears and anxiety.

He's so patient with me. Even when I make mistakes when it comes to worshiping him, he's forgiving and loving.

He's okay with me not being able to make an alter. He's okay with me stuttering and messing up during prayers. He's okay with me taking things slow.

He truly is the most gentle of the gods.
